Arts Council England

is the national development agency for creativity and culture. We have set out our strategic vision in Let’s Create that by 2030 we want England to be a country in which the creativity of each of us is valued and given the chance to flourish and where everyone of us has access to a remarkable range of high-quality cultural experiences. We invest public money from Government and The National Lottery to help support the sector and to deliver this vision.

The British Film Institute (BFI)

As the UK’s lead organisation for film, the BFI works closely with industry and government to ensure the continued growth of the UK’s screen industries both internationally and in the UK. A cultural charity and National Lottery distributor, we support, nurture and promote the art of film, television and the moving image, investing in development, production, distribution, sales, export, film heritage, and education. We also administer the UK Global Screen Fund on behalf of the UK Government (DCMS) which invests £7m a year in UK international co-productions, the international distribution of UK content, and international business development, as well as the ScreenUK platform which promotes UK screen content internationally. The BFI Certification Unit is the first point of contact for accessing the UK’s Creative Sector Tax Reliefs for film, high-end television, animation and video games.
